The Shire of Hartwood went some years after amalgamation without Tokens or recognition to offer its people. This changed at the Championship of 2016, when a large team of individuals worked hard to unveil a new set of tokens -- something inspired by the past, that embodies our ideals, and will carry us forward together. ExemplarEmbodying the spirit and virtues our Society holds dear; courtesy, honour, kindness and generosity. Bestowed by the current Exemplar to the new one at Yule.
The title and regalia of Exemplar was originally Cragmere's champion. Cragmere's historical champions were as follows:
Stag TagCombat Arts: Armoured 🛡, Rapier ⚔️, Cut & Thrust, Combat Archery, Combat Thrown Weapons, Jousting (Fieldless) A stag's head erased sable within and conjoined to an annulet argent; numbered Recognition of an individual who, while residing in Hartwood, has fought in the Combat Arts with their own kit under Hartwood’s banner. The Stag Tag is an old Hartwood token that has been retained and re-invented somewhat. Formerly, only 'home grown', armoured combat participants were eligible. It has been expanded to include anyone living within our borders who will rise to Hartwood's defence when she calls. The original recipient list can be found here.
Raven TagTarget/Equestrian Arts: Target Archery, Thrown Weapons, Equestrian
Recognition of an individual who, while residing in Hartwood, has competed in the Target/Equestrian arts with their own kit under Hartwood’s banner.
Swan Tag(Fieldless) A feather within and conjoined to an annulet argent Recognition of a Hartwoodian person's active participation in A&S such as, but not limited to: competitions, teaching, largesse.
Sable Hound(Fieldless) A hound statant sable within and conjoined to an annulet argent Recognition of excellence in service by an individual of Hartwood to the Shire of Hartwood.
The Lure(Fieldless) A hawk's lure within and conjoined to an annulet argent Recognition of excellence by a member of Hartwood in demos, assisting newcomers, inspiring activity and presenting our society in the best possible light.
Argent Hound (Stag's Mark)(Fieldless) A hound statant argent within and conjoined to an annulet sablerev.jpg){kind=icon} Recognition of a person living outside the shire who has been of great benefit to Hartwood.
Stag's Heart of Hartwood(Fieldless) A heart Or attired within and conjoined to an annulet argent.  Recognition of a person living within the shire who has been of great service to Hartwood over an extended period of time, a minimum of over ten years.
