Persona BackgroundCunegonda (Pron. koo-neh-GURGLEon-da, spelt any way you please) was born in the second half of the thirteenth century in the City of Utrecht, Prince-Bishopric of the same, in the Holy Roman Empire. The constant construction of the Domkerk was far too loud and troublesome; the marauders from Holland up north were intolerable; the new Bishop-Elect, John I, was such an idiot she couldn't bear to remain. Neither did she feel like marrying, or becoming cloistered and cut off from the world... and so she flounced south to the begijnhof of Breda in the Principality of Brabant, because seriously, who wouldn't prefer John I of Brabant over John I of Nassau? Unfortunately for her, shortly after her arrival the begijnhof began building their own church. Not a moments peace. Kunegonde of the Knowne WorldCunigunda began playing sometime in 1999, introduced by Mistress Halima al-Rakkasa in what was then the Shire of Cragmere. After two years, a move, and ill-health, she took an extended break. Nearly a decade later she returned for a one-time visit at Armada 2011 and discovered Cragmere had been amalgamated into Hartwood, but that all her old friends remained. She forgot to leave. Cunegonda is the daughter of Marguerite Dubois and Harold the 'Orrible of 'Artwood, who came to a Newcomers in 2013 as a birthday gift to their daughter and stayed. She is Protege to James Llewellyn ap Gruffydd as of Coronet XXI, and Arcuarius to Aline de Seez as of Hartwood Yule 2013. Her interests include archery, rapier, calligraphy, taking all the classes, and never finishing projects. Interests also apparently include taking on jobs at every event, and some offices, because it's so much more fun! --Halima al-Rakkasa 05:54, 22 March 2016 (UTC) OfficesChronicler, Shire of Cragmere Exchequer, Shire of Hartwood (04/13 - 01/16) Former Registrar, The University of Tir Righ Seneschal, Shire of Hartwood (01/16 - 01/17) Silver Sparkes Pursuivant, Tir Righ College of Heralds (A few years) Webminister, Shire of Hartwood, (10/18 - CURRENT) Blue Inkhorn, Principality of Tir Righ, (2/18 - CURRENT) AwardsSilver Swan, Cragmere Althing, February 29, 2000 by Kjartan kráka Award of Arms, Hartwood Yule, Dec 3, 2011 (AS XLVI) by Lenora di Calizzan Silver Pillar, Hartwood Yule, Dec 7, 2013 (AS XLVIII) by Ulfgar III and Juahara Beacon of Insula Magna, Seagirt Daffodil, Mar 15, 2014 (AS XLVIII) by Eideard and Mogg of Seagirt Order of the Goutte de Sang, An Tir Crown, Oct 25, 2014 (AS XLIX) by Styrkarr and Stjarna (Received at Hartwood Yule, Nov 22, 2014) Hafoc, Mermaids, July 8, 2017 (AS LII) by Einar II & Tangwystl |
