Morning Court

Court of His Highness Ulf, Prince of Tir Righ The Stranded Mermaid June 30, 2007 being AS XLII Shire of False Isle

Being the Report of the Morning Court of His Highness Ulf, Prince of Tir Righ. Court held on July 7, 2007 being AS XLII at The Stranded Mermaid, in the Shire of False Isle.

Prince Ulf spoke to the populace, saying that He was glad to be here and was looking forward to a good event.

HL Constance de Montbard, the autocrat, expressed thanks to those helping and mentioned some safety rules.

Each of the activity organizers spoke, giving the populace information about the activities available at the event.

Prince Ulf asked for children to assist in a play which would be a bardic competition entry.

Thus ended the Morning Court of His Highness Ulf, Prince of Tir Righ.

The herald for both courts was Lady Calindra de Silva, assisted by Lord Thormot Mac Otter of Rushen.

Evening Court

Court of His Highness Ulf, Prince of Tir Righ The Stranded Mermaid June 30, 2007 being AS XLII Shire of False Isle

Being the Report of the Evening Court of His Highness Ulf, Prince of Tir Righ. Court held on July 7, 2007 being AS XLII at The Stranded Mermaid, in the Shire of False Isle.

Her Ladyship Constance de Montbard, autocrat, and Lady Effie Little, co-autocrat, did give thanks all those who helped with the event.

Lord Edward Little thanked His Lordship Zoran for his assistance in running heavy combat, and announced the winner, Garet Doiron, who was presented with a prize for his victory.

Master John Macandrew spoke of the archery competition, and gave out prizes to the winners. With sixteen archers competing, Theodore won Royal Rounds and Her Ladyship Ealeen de Seez won the Novelty Shoot. Having attained the highest combined score, Her Ladyship Ealeen de Seez was declared Archery Champion.

His Lordship Asa Martel announced the winners of the Rapier combat, being Isadora and Nerissa, and gave out the prizes.

Her Ladyship Ealeen de Seez spoke of the children’s archery competition and presented the winners with prizes for their efforts. There were two age levels competing, and Helene was the winner in Children’s Junior and Soleil was the winner in Children’s Senior. (Note from the Court Reporter: Helene and Soleil are sisters, and are the daughters of Theodore who won the Royal Rounds.)

Lord Thormot Mac Otter of Rushen announced that His Lordship Gunther had won the non-musical bardic competition. After receiving the prize, Gunther did recite his poem to the populace. Lord Thormot announced there would be a Bardic Circle held after court.

Master Stephen of Hunmanby spoke of the A&S contests. The winners of the Tribute to the Mermaid A&S competition were Doctor Carus and Soleil, who were presented with prizes. Prince Ulf's children's play won the Stranding of the Mermaid A&S competition; Master Stephen gave prizes to all participants, and His Highness also gave small gifts to the children. Master Stephen also announced that Lady Calycrist Cotter was the winner of the Best Filk to a Period Tune, and presented her with a prize.

By the Grace of King Sven and Queen Signy, His Highness did award Arms to Cassandra the Red.

Her Ladyship Alicia le Wilfulle did speak of the heraldry contests. The winner of the Best Encampment was Her Ladyship Constance de Montbard, Viscountess Amanda Kendal of Westmoreland was the winner of the Best Clothing/Armour, and His Lordship Mikhail Kurganovic was the winner of Heraldic Identification of an Item. Each of the winners was presented with a prize in recognition of their efforts.

Prince Ulf, assisted by Lady Aine, presented gifts to those who had acted as retinue for the day.

Lord Thormot Mac Otter of Rushen was entered into l'Ordre de l'Etoile d'Argent.

Prince Ulf expressed his thanks to all and invited everyone to attend Fall Coronet in Appledore.

Thus ended the Evening Court of His Highness Ulf, Prince of Tir Righ.
