Kingdom Champion

Kingdom Champion is a term to describe the Champions in the various activities, who are officers of the Royal Court. They are required to attend Crown Events to attend to the Crown in court, unless excused. They can be recognized by their cloaks, garb and implements of office, which feature the An Tir checky and lion.

The Kingdom Champions of An Tir

• The Champion of An Tir is the heavy combat champion, selected via tournament at July Coronation.
• The Kingdom Champion of Rapier Combat is the rapier champion, selected via tournament at Twelfth Night.
• The Kingdom Protector is the archery champion, selected via tournament at September Crown.
• The Arts & Sciences Champion is selected by competition on the first weekend of March, at Kingdom A&S/Bardic Championship.
• The Bardic Champion is selected by competition on the first weekend of March, at Kingdom A&S/Bardic Championship.
• The Equestrian Champion is selected by competition at - or as near as possible to the date of - September Crown. This varies as some event spaces cannot accommodate Equestrian events.
