Grail of the Summits

The Award of the Grail: for notable contributions to the Principality of the Summits. The emblem is an argent grail pendant with a colored accent: vert for Arts & Sciences, gules for Service, sable for Martial Endeavor and purple for fulfilling a term as a Principality Officer. One of each may be given to the same recipient.

Before Summits became a full Principality, the Defenders and Ladies of the Summits gave small Grail "tokens" for Arts & Sciences or Service, since they were not permitted to give awards. These were usually in the form of a very small grail stamped from metal foil. The first grail tokens were all silver; later gold-colored ones were sometimes used for Service.
