Overview of Rank RequirementsAchievement of a rank entails creating a number of items at proficiency levels required for each rank as detailed below.
Guild Proficiency LevelsProficiency levels are a measure of the skill and knowledge involved in creating a challenge entry. Details for each proficiency level can be found on the Guild website. Proficiency levels advance through stages from beginner to expert both in skill and knowledge. Proficiency Levels:
Understanding the ChartFor example, to attain their Senior Student rank, the guild member will have: - already completed the requirement for and attained the rank of Junior Student; - successfully submitted for evaluation one basic proficiency piece of embellishment in a form different than that used in their Junior Student challenge; - successfully submitted for evaluation one competent proficiency piece of embellishment which can either be the same form (but not the same piece) that was evaluated at basic proficiency for their Junior Student rank , or in a different form (but not the same as evaluated at basic proficiency at Senior Student rank).
- already completed all the requirements for and attained the ranks of Junior Student, Senior Student, Journeyman and Junior Craftsman; - successfully submitted for evaluation one basic proficiency piece of embellishment in a form they have not previously challenged with for a lower rank; - successfully submitted for evaluation two competent proficiency pieces of embellishment either in forms challenged at basic proficiency for any lower rank, or in forms they have not challenged with at any rank; - successfully submitted for evaluation one skilled proficiency pieces of embellishment either in a form challenged at basic or competent proficiency for one of the lower ranks, or in a form they have not previously challenged with at any rank; - taught two classes (or equivalent) in two different embellishment forms, one of which was a form they have not previously received teaching credit for.
