Dearbhail ingean ui Dhonnchaidh

Dearbhail ingean ui Dhonnchaidh, formerly known as "Brenna the Decaffeinated" has been active in the SCA since before the turn of the century (21st, that is). She started playing in Shittimwoode and eventually moved to Wyewood as real life intervened. After meeting John de Percy she joined Clan Carn and has been a member of Carn Council several times.

Dearbhail's interests include costuming (she has multiple persona disorder), archery, arrow making, leather work and knitting. Dearbhail has been referred to as a "viable threat" on the war field as a combat archer, though she is now retired from that activity. She also enjoys cooking as time and other commitments allow. She spends a lot of time telling herself she doesn't need another hobby.

Service: Archos Dearbhail has continuously served in a branch or Kingdom office since 2005.

Contingency Deputy to Kingdom Royal Archer 2018-present Advisory position to Royal archer and active as contingency officer for the reign of Princess Athelina of Tir Righ.

Wyewood Rapier Marshal 2019 - present Grew practice from four fighters to 8-10 consistently. Attracting out of area fighters to travel to this practice. Central region deputy indicates this is one of the most prolific practices in the region.

Kingdom Royal Archer 2016 -2018 Stepped up as Kingdom Royal Archer at September Crown AS LI. Completed update of the An Tir Book of Target (with much help from Maestra Althaia) by 12th Night, incorporating changes in the society book that was published in November. As part of the position of Royal Archer also fulfilled the duties of Kingdom Thrown Weapons Deputy while the position was vacant.

Contingency Deputy To Kingdom Royal Archer 2015 Provided back up and support for Archos Loghaire while training for Kingdom Royal Archer.

Knights’ Auction Coordinator 2013-2016 From 2013 to 2016 assisted Sir Rodrekr with the 12th Night Knights’ Auction. Managed donations, publicity and coordinating with event staff for space. During my tenure the Auction raised over $15,000 for various charities.

Central Region Reporting Deputy for Archery 2011-2013 Collected and compiled Western Region archery reports and submitted to Royal Archer. Assisted with policy, issue escalation, and documentation.

Chief Archer, Shire of Wyewood, 2008 -2012 Facilitated practices and developed a rotation of marshals to run the range so no one person was overburdened.

Chatelaine , Shire of Wyewood 2005 –2008 Developed a culture in Wyewood that “everyone is a chatelaine”. Encouraged the branch to have multiple deputies to assist newcomers and Gold Key. Coordinated multiple demonstrations for Boy Scout Troops.

Event Service • Frequent event setup and teardown • Archery and/or rapier marshal for tourneys at many events • Listkeeper when needed • Gate at events when needed • Kitchen staff for feasts • Baronial retinue for Wyewood and Madrone coronets

Arts and Science as Service: • Teaching leatherwork classes from 2008 – 2018 as needed • Facilitating classroom space and classes at the Community club building in my development as needed. • Creating garb for Sir Rodrekr, Master Stephen de Jardin, Maestra Althaia, Maister John de Percy • Created Kingdom Court Herald's binder, plus maintenance and repairs as necessary • Crafted and donated multiple items to the 12th Night Auction • Teaching Target Archery Marshal classes when requested

Mentorship Order of the Grey Goose Shaft June 2012 to present Has had four official students as a Goose - one has been elevated to the Order, two are still in process, and one has retired. Encouraged many to take up target and combat archery, and a strong supporter and instructor of gender diverse target and combat archery.
