John de Percy is old. He's seen at least half a century. He somehow managed to marry Dearbhail and join Clan Carn.
He's also a sneaky archer. Apparently, he's good at it, having been Kingdom Protector. They even let him in the Order of the Grey Goose Shaft.
He's not perfect, seeing as he managed to get a Goutte de Sang too. BAO gave him a Golden Blossom for some reason. That's what he gets for getting stuck doing all that marshaling.
