Purpure, a horse courant to sinister argent within an orle argent (in submission)

In the spring of 2005, I moved to the Columbia Gorge and discovered a non-SCA group, the Vanir-Lag, involved in recreating Norse life. Having never heard of this or the SCA or anything similar before, I was intrigued. After one event I was hooked. Several of the group’s members are in the SCA and encouraged me to attend events with them.

In the fall of 2007, I attended my first SCA event with Wastekeep, loved it, and began attending most of their events over the past year, in addition to the Vanir-Lag’s gatherings. In August of 2008, I discovered a local SCA group starting up Hauksgarðr and began attending their meetings and events. In November of 2008, I became Deputy A&S with Hauksgarðr.

My persona is a sword-swinging, bead-making Norse woman, and I enjoy lampworking, Norse wire weaving, traditional archery, garb-making, bellydancing, embroidery, games, learning about all things Norse, and I have recently become intrigued with heavy fighting, after getting a chance to suit up and fight. My mundane life includes being a wife and mother to two wonderful children, hobby farming, natural horsemanship, and running a small rescue for ponies.
