Isn't this exciting? A page about little ole me. Well, I guess it isn't all THAT exciting but here is is. A little about me in this world.
Persona
My name is Ceara inghean uí Mhadadháin (KEE-ra in-yen wih VAD-a-yain). I was born in Galway, Ireland in the year 1513 and have lived here my entire life with my father, older brother and younger sister. My mother died while giving birth to my sister 4 years ago and I miss her fiercely. Since then, I have cared for my family as my father runs his stationer shop. As for me, I am far too interested in the family business to worry about a suitor. Father doesn’t mind too much as I have been a great help to him and show some skill in sewing and copying. Although I’m fearful he may not return from Dublin, I know that when he does, he wishes me to marry. I overheard him one day speaking with his apprentice about such things which truly makes me nervous. Of course, I would much prefer to be among the books and stay here to care for my father and sister. Who knows what the future might hold for me.
Of course, in the mundane world, I am married with children. Just haven't figured out how to fit them into my SCA world. I'll get there eventually. My husband does play in the SCA as Herbateus. Many know him as the kick-butt javelin thrower at Clinton!
I am a member of the Clan MacAndrew and generally just like to help out where and when I can. I like dance, archery, A&S and people, among other things that elude me at the moment.
My Heraldry!
Per pale azure and argent, two hares salient respectant counterchanged argent and sable, on a chief per pale argent and azure three cinquefoils counterchanged sable and argent. Ha HA! :)
