Marcus Octavius Rufus first found the SCA in Anno Societatis(A.S.) XXXVIII/2003 where he attended events and fought briefly before becoming distracted. He returned a few years later in AS XLII/2007 where he found a passion for war fighting. When a war was not available, he would fight in tournaments and eventually became a Man at Arm to Graf [[Berek von Langental]] Originally only meant to be a Man at Arms for a year and a day, that relationship was extended several times as neither of them felt they had fulfilled their half of the relationship sufficiently to take the next step. Over those years, not only did the Langental's accept Rufus as part of their family, they accepted Livia as well, and in AS L/2015 Rufus became Berek's squire and changed his name to Longinius. | |||

Marcus Longinius Rufus is a Roman soldier from the early 2nd CE stationed in Britain. He is married to Livia Atella and has two small children, Marcus and Aurelia.
