Evrard de Valogne

Evrard de Valogne has been involved in the SCA off and on for 19 years. He has been a proud member of Wyewood for four years and Madrone for three. In the shire he has been awarded several honors, including the Wye Knot in AS 42. In Madrone he has been given the Green Leaf, the Gwraidd and the Tsveti (blue for crafting.)

His interests include: Archery, Fletching, Heraldry, Armoring, Leatherworking, Brewing, Woodworking, Embroidery, Fighting, Marshalling, and Illumination. Evrard serves as an inspiration to the populace of An Tir due to his eagerness to step in and help, and is known for his excellent period portrayal of mid 14th century France.

Evrard has served as an officer of the shire for three years, two as Herald and one as Chief Archer. He has been the Chief Archer of Madrone for the last two years.

Evrard is an Armored Combat Marshal, a Senior Target Archery Marshal, a Combat Archery Marshal and a Thrown Weapons Marshal. His passion for archery is equaled by few.

In AS 38 Evrard de Valogne was given an Award of Arms during the reign of Skeggi and Taisiia at Ursulmas. In AS 42 he won Midhaven's Archery Championship and will be hosting that event the following year. That same event Evrard was asked to be an Arcuarius to HL Arion the Wanderer, OGGS. That September Crown he was awarded the Goutte de Sang by Ard Righ Tiernan and Ban Righ Miranda The following Junefaire he was conferred into the Order of the Grey Goose Shaft by King Cedric and Queen Elisabeth, then promptly won the Madrone Archery Championship at Lionhearts. After moving to Madrone he became the Chief Archer, being the MIC of Archery for September Crown, Lionhearts and Emprise of the Black Lion. In AS 45 he was awarded the Jambe de Leon by Tiernan and Miranda in their second reign.

As a member of the OGGS Evrard has taken three students; HL Dearbhail ingean ui Dhonnchaidh, HL Wulfwyn Aethelwulf and Lord Tymme Lytefelow.
