Åse Knarrarbringa

SCA History

Åse was dragged to her first SCA event, Ursulmas, by a college room-mate in 1994. At her second event, she met her future husband, Sir Hrothgar Thorvaldsson. She was presented with an Award of Arms by King Sven and Queen Signy during their first reign at Lions Gate's Baroness' Birthday Tournament in 1998. Åse originally displayed Elizabethan tendencies, calling herself Katherine Fortescue. She has since seen the light and turned Norse while pregnant with her second daughter.

Åse became student to Mistress Yrsa Ketilsdottir at Tir Righ Summer Investiture Jun. 13, 2003. She received her Jambe de Lion from King Skeggi and Queen Taisiia at Tir Righ Spring Coronet in April of 2005.

She and Hrothgar have two daughters, Elizabeth and Katherine. They reside in the Shire of Shittimwoode.
