Thomas Sinclair

Thomas Sinclair began his SCA career in the Shire of Dragons Mist in A.S.34. He first got involved in Heavy Combat under the instruction of squire Brian of Ledbury. Having chosen the persona of a Templar. It was in this year that he became a member of House of Hunter, and the man at arms to squire Brian.

His first tournament was Bar Gemels AS 34 at which he advanced to the semi finals in the novice tournament. In his second year he entered the novice tournament at Egil's A.S.35. It was at that event that he knew he was going to be a member of the SCA for a long time to come.

During his next three years he continued fighting, learning Heraldry, and brewing mead. Thomas traveled south to attend An Tir-West War A.S. 38. It was at this event that Brian of Ledbury showed him what it meant to charge the gate. At An Tir-West War that following year Thomas took dual fealty becoming Man At Arms to William Geoffrey the Rogue, as well as to Brian of Ledbury. He received his AoA by then Alpine Highnesses William Geoffrey the Rogue and Nadezhda Volynskaiia during the reign of King Davin Steingrimsson and Queen Groa.

Thomas Continued his fighting, always under the banner of the Principality of the Summits. In A.S. 39 he chose to take part in the Sergeants Trials for the Barony of Terra Pomaria, completing those trials successfully, he then wore the blue belt of a Sergeant. In March of that year Thomas was awarded the Pearl of Terra Pomaria for persona development as a Templar. Always a hit with the populace and Royalty, Thomas continues to brew his mead which is much praised and sought after.

In A.S. 40 under the reign of King Sven Gunnarrson and Queen Signy Oksendhal he traveled to the Kingdom of Atenveldt to attend his first Estrella War. During this glorious event he witnessed great deeds of An Tir's Finest. With awe he fought with such giants as King Sven with his deadly pike, Sir Kjartan Daegarson running across the enemy's pikes, and Arnsbjorn Tiernanson CuRigh's mad charges into the shield wall.

It was after his return from that war, inspired by what he had seen and done at Estrella that Thomas won his first tournament, the never won a tourney tournament at Summits Spring Coronet, and was admitted into the Noble Order of the Goutte de Sang.

In June of A.S. 41 Thomas moved to the Barony of Terra Pomaria, He also entered the list for the right to become Prince of the Summits for the first time that year. In the spring of A.S. 42, at Summits Spring Coronet, Thomas advanced to the quarter finals in the Coronet Tournament. Subsequently he was awarded the Summits Shield of Chivalry for his deeds on the list field that day. At Bar Gemels the following month Thomas returned the belt of Sergeant to the incoming Baroness, and stepped up as Hazel Leaf Pursuivant, Terra Pomaria's Baronial Herald.

Thomas left Terra Pomaria for Nordholt in the fall of A.S. 42. The following spring he resigned as Hazel Leaf Pursuivant. Thomas is currently taking a break from events.
