He has also traveled to the Byzantine Empire where Norse traders and Varangian mercenaries are a common sight.
Master Sven Red Beard Einarsson is a member of the Order of the Carp, an honor created to recognize those who have excelled in persona development in the SCA.
He is also a Laurel, member of the Order of the Briar, holder of a Golden Blossom, Jambe de Lion, Goutte de Sang and a member of the Order of the Iron Chain.
