I'm typing this mostly as a test to see what it is.

And a perfectly fine place it is to do that kind of testing.

We actually each have two pages here on the wiki. This page is your "User" page. It belongs to your account on the wiki. We'd like you to create another page we call the "People" page. In your case, your People page would be your full proper name Frodhi Willuson (click on the link to create the page and start editing). Add to the bottom of your People page to have it automatically included on the Category:People page.

Thank you! I really like the idea of the wiki and will do what I can to make it more usable. So far I've not been able to figure out how to link to specific pages - such as the Shire of Ravenswier. I can find it by surfing through branch then to R then to Ravenswier, but Ravenswier or Ravenswierdoesn't do it. Is there something I'm missing?

Also, is there an easy to make a signature appear, dated and all that?

To link to a page put only the title between double square brackets: Eg. Ravensweir for Ravensweir (it's also important to spell the name correctly), Lions Gate, Elizabeth Braidwood. To change the label use a pipe (|) and the label text: Eg My Home Branch for My Home Branch.

You can find more wiki-editing pointers on the "Help" page (see little menu on left).

The code for "add my signature and the time" is ~~~~ (four tildes ~ in a row). Just three tildes will add only your signature.

Welcome aboard.

Bah! My spelling tripped me up, which normally is pretty passable.

Thank you very much Elizibeth, for the welcome and the quick tutorial. I'll be doing a bit of reading on wikis and how they work once I am down off of crazy work hours.

Cheers.
