Trelon of the Wood was 19 when he was knighted at Spring Crown Tournament March 24-25, 1979, in the Kingdom of the West.
He fought in and won the The An Tir Coronet Tourney, May 12 & 13, 1979.
He lived in Cottage Grove, OR, Adiantum. But apparently his youth and distance from the An Tir “core” of Lions Gate to Madrone to Three Mountains, resulted in misinformation concerning his residence.
“It seems indeed that the CRIERstaph was misinformed about our new Tanist. Trelon of the Wood and his family have long lived in Cottage Grove, Oregon; he was only attending school in Allyshia, so is not an import from Mists. Also Cottage Grove is considered a part of Adiantum, not Three Mountains. We are concise, comprehensive, and inaccirate. But so far we never miss deadlines (knock Editor!)” [August 1979 The Crier]
He and his consort Tamsin of the Raven Tresses were invested as Prince and Princess of An Tir at An Tir Coronation and Champion Tourney on July 21-22, 1979.
Tamsin wrote in The Page (September, 1979): “Prince Trelon received a banana cream pie in the face from one of my ladies-in-waiting, Lady Dorothea of the Dunes. Lest any would mistake this for an act of treason, Prince Trelon REQUESTED "a pie in the face" at the Anghois-Zifran War.”
In a 2025 communication, Trelon (now Duke) said “Dorothea of the Dunes, soon to be Princess Dorothea in the next reign, thought it would be funny to pie me... she was right, I can still smell the banana cream that went up my nose.”
“I was called the "Punk Prince" because I was 19 and didn't need to shave yet. I think it was Steingrim who threatened to make me a rattan switch blade. My Princess, Tamsin of the Raven Tresses, lived in the West.”
Their last court was at Twelfth Night, January 12, 1980.
He moved to Phoenix, AZ in June of 1980 to go to school, got a job straight out of school and stayed in Phoenix. He never moved back to An Tir.
