About Shahar Mulji

Darbari Begum Shahar Mulji (previously known as Saethyth de Apeleia) is a resident of Lions Gate (the best Barony in the Knowne World!). She has been active in the SCA since 2018, quickly getting involved in anything that interests her and has been active since 2018.
She is dedicated to learning as much as she can and helping wherever there is a need. She has tried a little bit of everything, from archery and thrown weapons, to rapier fighting, to dance, to Arts and Sciences.
She has focused her attention on Arts and Sciences, with a concentration on Mughal culture and dress, mathematics, and scientific research, and on Service. She loves tablet weaving, sewing, and pattern drafting.
Her main study focuses are on daily life and dress of Gujarati Hindus after Emperor Akbar’s invasion and the historical perceptions and knowledge of science and mathematics, especially in non-European cultures.
Shahar loves the SCA for its welcoming attitude towards everyone and its focus on education. She is dedicated to helping make it a place where anyone can feel like they belong and helping to bring more attention to non-European viewpoints of pre-1600’s life.
