General

Lady Olwen's first experience with the SCA was through her Granddaughter Medb of Cae Mor. She attended her first event, Cae Mor's annual Penguin Crusade, in April 26 AS 42 (2008), at the ripe young age of 85. To the delight of many, she received her Award of Arms at that same event, two years later, at the young age of 87. She was gifted the name Lady Grandmother by Máire nic Shiobhán, and it was quickly embraced by all.

Lady Grandmother passed away on May 20th A.S. 57 at the age of 99.

Interests

Olwen is always interested in learning new things.
Unfortunately, as of yet, she has not had the chance to take many classes, but thoroughly enjoyed the Stained Glass class taught by Alys Lakewood, at Cae Mor's Penguin Crusade event May AS 45. She enjoys archery, and knitting, meeting new people, and helping out where ever she can.

Olwen is known for her stunning knitted creations, especially her SCA toques! Created herself from nothing by a photo, her skill, talent, and love for the SCA shines brightly!
