Squires' Tournament Results

Greetings all,

Here are the results of the Squires' Tourney at May Crown. There were 64 fighters signed up for the tourney.

Chivalry Prize: Tai Tjorkillsdatr Prize: Card-woven trim, donated by Baroness Saewynn

Most Wins: Guy Grimsson, 54 wins Prize: A chair with the winner's device to be painted on it - donated by Guy and selected for him by His Royal Majesty, King Sven.

Most Fights:

Guy also had the most fights, 80. However, since a Squire can only win one of the prizes, Aleksii Konstantinovich was awarded the prize for Most Fights with 49 fights. Prize: A period dinner for 4, donated by Banu Shadhra Aliya

In entering all of the results in the computer, we discovered a math error in the hand tallying. My sincerest apologies to Wredech Mac Feth, who, in fact, had the second highest total fights with 52. If Wredech will please contact me privately, Master Grendal has donated rattan for a new sword as your prize for Most Fights.

My thanks to all who assisted with and fought in the tournament. I would especially like to thank Banu Shadhra Aliya for stepping in at the last minute to run the tourney when my pre-arranged deputy could not attend the event and I was just returning from my honeymoon. My thanks as well to Nicolette, Alienora, Maedha and Dearbhail for helping out with the lists (please excuse any misspelling of your names).

Below are the results for the individual fighters. Please excuse any funny formatting due to my email program. The fighters name is first, followed by the total number of wins, losses and fights in that order.

Personal Memories

(Add your personal event memories here. End them with a blank line, four dashes and another blank line. Don't forget to sign them with dash-dash-tildex3. Reminder: it's considered VERY rude to edit someone else's memories.)

The finals were wonderful! Viscount Vic Vikingson from Avacal against .....Amalric Blackhart ? I think most of the crowd didnt know him. I think that some people would believe Vic was going to win just because of the size difference, Amalric's helmet top came as high as Vic's nose. The first of three went to Amalric, the second to Vic, both fights fast and clean and the third ended in probably less then a minute. While I was looking forward to Queen Inga, Im sure a Norse-free reign will be just fine, and Ive heard nothing but nice things about Amalric and Caia Snowden.

The news from Crown is that it was a wonderful event! The final rounds were breathtaking, and when Amalric and Vik were met by their consorts for congrats and consoling it brought a tear to many eyes watching.

Many, many kudos to the autocrat team! The equestrian events were awesome, the tourneys, displays, merchants row - the site itself.....everything was wonderful! Ambergard rocks, as always.

For me the best part was being there to see a fine lady elevated to the Order of the Pelican, Mistress Nikita von Danzig. It has been a long earned accolade and she wears it well.
