For many years, it has been the privilege of the Baron and Baroness to recognize long standing contributions of service to the Barony by admitting members of Lions Gate to the Order of the Lions Claw.

However, there is a great amount of long standing service to Lions Gate done by people who do not claim Lions Gate as their Lands. These people form the most important part of bridges and gateway between Lions Gate and the rest of the known world. And just as the most important part in the arch of a bridge or a doorway is the keystone, these people are to be known as Keystones of Lions Gate.
