Contests and Activities

  • Auction to benefit the Domesday Book.
  • An Tir Champion's List.
  • Black Kettle: Potluck dinner Saturday evening, annual breakfast Sunday morning; a subtlety contest will be held in conjunction with the annual Black Kettle potluck dinner Saturday evening.
  • Arachne's Web: Macrame (bookmark size).
  • Office of the Chatelaine: Prize to first-year fighter who gets farthest in the Champion's List.
  • Office of the Chronicler: Best cover art for the Crier. Dimensions 7.5 x 12.75, leave space for legend "Ye Crier," and the date and issue number.
  • Costumers: Headdresses (pre-1200 'Romanesque,' 1200-1450 'Gothic,' and 1450-1600 'Renaissance' categories). Exhibition: embellishment other than embroidery.
  • Gamesmaster: The Gamesmaster will be running a contest in Outdoor Games. Children will be able to participate.
  • Pages: Royal Pages will be selected based on their success in the competitions of heraldry, running, bardic, costuming, courtesy, and protocol.
  • Pied Pipers: Activities include a modified pages run, learning dances, learning heraldic names of colors (crayons and color books provided), and the games Hold/Approach, Your Majesty May I, and Color Badge Bingo.
