Jacque Du Prey

Jacques was born to a French father who married a Catholic woman. As a young boy he traveled with his father and younger brother around the country side helping with the leather work at the war camps. He saw a great many things regarding war. The Landsknecht he saw really got him wanting to learn how to fight. After a long battle Jacques could not find his father or brother so he joined the company of pike that were heading south. On this journey he found him self learning the was of formations, how to kill a knight with a pike and even shot a boom stick a few times. Finding himself near home he left the group to see his mother. After 8 long years Jacques found his mother no longer waiting for the return of his father. A new lord of the house has taken her as wife under the Huguenot laws. Not wanting to upset this new lord and see his mother Jacques lied about his choice of religion.

The lord of the house saw that Jacques knew how to use a pike, swing a sword, and fixed armor he ask Jacques to lead his company into battle. Being young a confused 17 year old boy to some Jacques jumped at the chance to play war.

Seeing the horrors of the wars happen around him he became terribly confused of how to truly praise god.
