The event was notable for the extreme heat on Friday and Saturday.

The Celebration was a lovely event; very charming and fun. However, it was terribly, terribly hot. I was merchanting with a friend, out there in the middle of the open field, and the heat was just amazing. The merchant-crats were kind enough to bring all of the merchants bags of ice and small battery-operated fans (at this point, avoiding heatstroke was more important than being period!), as well as supplying us with lots of lemonade, and we did get through the event OK. On Sunday it was still very hot (in the 80s) but that was so much cooler than the day before that it was a vast relief. The Mostly Fibers courses were fairly well-attended despite the heat, and I think everyone had a pretty good time. -- Wenyeva atte grene 04:34, 13 Dec 2005 (EST)
