SCA History

Also known as "Jean-Jacques Lavigne", and simply "John Jack" in England and "Johan Jakob" in Germany, Jehan-Jacques first SCA exposure was about 1991 when his childhood friend Rafe Neuton told him about a grade school demo. His first event was a brief day trip to the Long and Short of It Tournament in 1996 and first camping event was An Tir-West War 2001, after which time he was very active in the society from 2001-2006.

Jehan-Jacques is a Protege of Mistress Nadezhda Volynskaiia.

Jehan-Jacques Le Poutré dit Lavigne is a 16th Century persona, with a focus on 1500-1550, who hails from Valenciennes in the County of Hainaut in Habsburg Southern Netherlands. Culturally and in language Jehan-Jacques is more French, but his ancestry and residence serves the Holy Roman Empire, namely Emperors Maximilian I and Charles V.
