Embellishers' Guild of An Tir Embellishers' Guild Overview Motto: “It needs a little something” The mission of the Embellishers’ Guild of An Tir is to encourage the practice and teaching of all forms of period embellishment among our members. We encourage learning new techniques, improving our work, and sharing our work and knowledge throughout the Kingdom. We adorn the unadorned. What We Do in the Guild Challenges – We hold challenges where members present their work to a panel of evaluators to advance through the levels of Guild membership (see below for membership ranks and challenge requirements). Classes – Members teach selected forms of embellishment at events throughout the Kingdom and/or online. Displays – We often show our work at Kingdom events where Arts & Sciences displays are present. Largesse projects – We participate in group projects to create largesse for the Kingdom and branches within the Kingdom. The guild badge (designed and submitted by Alicia le Wilfulle; it is an officially registered badge) can be used by any guild member. Those with the rank of member will be asked to use an uncolored/embellished badge. As the person rises in guild rank different colors can be used to embellish the badge in whatever manner/design (as long as the main structure of the badge is not infringed upon). Some ideas for this embellishment include having different colored threads threaded through the needle, simple decoration (e.g. circles) along the hammer handle, etc.; you may wish to choose an embellishment that can be easily changed upon advancement to the next rank.
