[[Master Stephen of Hunmanby at Kingdom Arts & Sciences in the Barony of Wastekeep, March 7, 2009

Makes a mean chocolate chip cookie. Plays lute beautifully. Sorry the picture is blurry. --Rafaella d'Allemtejo

Stephen was recognized as a Laurel for his superlative skills in music research. He writes his own transcriptions of period music working from the original notation whenever possible, running the gamut from early neumatic notation, medieval and Renaissance notation, and a variety of different lute tablatures. He translates period lyrics from their original language, including Latin, medieval French, and Middle English. He is one of the primary members of False Isle's Broken Consort, and plays several voicings of recorders, lute, and an accoustic guitar with a period persona. He teaches a variety of music classes with an engaging manner and a gentle wit, and is a past Bardic Champion for Tir Righ.

Once named my Journeyman, now my Laurel brother. I'm so proud of you!

-Mistress Arlys o Gordon, OL, OP
