25 Aug VIII/1973
King Henrik and Queen Seitse, the twenty-fourth King and Queen of the West, invest Prince Frederick and Princess Anne, as the first Prince and Princess of the Principality of An Tir. At this time, the Coronet Tournament and Investiture were held on the same day.
October VIII/1973
Some time in October VIII/1973, an organizational meeting heralds the beginnings of the S.C.A. in Lions Gate. Attended by Susan the Opaque, Michael le Voyageur, Pere Daniel, Illya, Bjorn of Havok and Akbar. Held at Susan and Michael’s home. Fighting practices are begun three weeks later and are held at the North Shore Neighbourhood House where Bjorn is working at the time. Having heard that the S.C.A. fought with rattan swords, and eager to begin fighting, Bjorn weaves swords from rattan caning used in chair seats.
April VIII/1974
After attending many fighting practices in what was to become the Shire of Lions Gate, Bjorn of Havok attends his first event – a tourney in Revenna Park in Madrone.

IX

September IX/1974
Harrold of Warrington discovers the S.C.A. at a picnic and fighting practice held in Port Coquitlam. His first official event is Lambie’s Farewell.
November IX/1974
Lions Gate participates in the St. James Anglican Church's Canterbury Fayre for the first time.
January IX/1975
8 Jan IX/1975 - First issue of The North Wind. It's edited by Vereshka, Susan the Opaque, Pere Daniel and Vladimir Karpentoffski.
18 Jan IX/1975 - The Shire of Lions Gate holds its first event. The Monboggian Midwinter New Moon Festival I is held in the UBC Student Union Building Ballroom. Baron Liam of the Barque and Baroness Dierdre Muldomhnaigh of Madrone attend. The Kendal family discovers the S.C.A.
February IX/1975
16 February IX/1975 - Lions Gate hosts the An Tir Coronet Tournament at the North Shore Neighbourhood House. The event is attended by Their Majestis of the West, Paul and Carol. The results of the tournament are later invalidated by legal difficulties. (Anybody remember who won the tournament and what the legal difficulties were?)
King Paul gives a lecture against using freon cans as helmets and pushes home his point by shattering a freon can with one blow. He also states that he considers women to be people too and endorses the Board decision giving women the right to fight.
