James of Northkeep
Lord James of Northkeep was an "oldtimer" many of us remember. He ran "Hippogryph Armory" and was a bladesmith and trader. He taught me how to shape and temper a blade. (I did not have the patience to forge one, alas.)
He never registered armory, but used a bat-winged oval piece of antique jewelry and the hippogryph as "his sign", so alas, no coat of arms to display here. Someplace I still have one of his old business cards with a nicely drawn hippogryph, and I may scan that in when I find it, for old time's sake.
In the early days of Dragon's Mist and Three Mountains James' booth was always a place newcomers could gather. His home was open to many as well. He seemed to know "everyone".
We miss ye, Jim.
