When he was still squire to Baron Sir Gerhard Kendal of Westmoreland, Cornelius was often mistaken for a Knight by his quiet courtesy and unfailing chivalry. When his buffet came and he was finally and at long last given the Accolade, there was cause for much celebration throughout The Land. Tall and handsome, but not vain, his magnificent mane usually contained in a very long braid, I shall always recall to mind three things about Cornelius: his Jagermeister, his rescuing of me at Clinton one ill-fated year, and impersonating him at the Bardic Fires at 3YC.
