During a phone interview on September 11, 2025, by Sir Richard with Lady Nyneve, editor of Ye Crier in 1972, Lady Nyneve had this to say about that event:
“I still remember the last event I went to. There was a big a party at some members who had a large yard. It was a very nice and is still there. They had a big event with the food in the yard, and they were all sitting around this mince platter of chicken, fried chicken. And I happened to go with my pet, half grown rooster on my arm tied with a golden chain, and he was my falcon. So I was marching around with my falcon and he was sitting happily on my arm until I went, oh, you've got to go over and say hello to the baron. So I go over there to greet the baron and my chicken falcon takes one look at that plateful of chicken, jumps down splat with both feet right in the middle. I don't know if he is being a falcon and he wanted to eat or he was being a chicken and saw his relatives. But I was so embarrassed because, I mean, the chicken has not got the cleanest feet. You know, he'd been sitting on my arm and I had washed it, but, you know. But of course, medievalists, they just ate all the chicken anyway.”

In some of the photos below you can see her and her Chicken-Hawk.
