This information differs from what has been posted on the Summits website. There is some discrepancy of information about exactly when the Defender's term changed from one year to six months. While writing the text for the Summits Domesday Book pages (early 2005), I researched this extensively in my and others' personal records, Summits newsletters, and dated photographs. To the best I could determine at that time, these are the correct dates.
