Voice of the Turtle

The Voice of the Turtle was the name of a medieval/folk musical group consisting of Roger Shell Roger the Goliard, Kathleen Hendrickson, David Bigelow David of Bagulay from the Barony of Madrone.
The trio seems to appear in 1972, during the early events in Madrone, including the House of York Tournament and Revel in July 1972.

By 1973, they are performing widely and reported in local newspapers as well as noted in the SCA.
At the first Coronet Tourney in An Tir, Their Occidental Majesties, Henrik and Seitse, presented a Royal Appointment charter to The Voice of the Turtle.1
In early 1973, Roger and Kathleen married. It appears when they divorced at the end of 1974, that was the end of the Voice of the Turtle as a group, though individuals would continue to perform music.
