Introduction: My name is Sigridr Viljhalmsdottir. I reside in the Barony of Dragons Laire in the Kingdom of An Tir. I was from 10/2021 to 10/8/2022 A and S Champion for the Barony of Dragons Laire I have helped with Retinue for Baron Arion the Wanderer, OL, OP. My persona is 950s Icelandic. I am married to a trader, and I grow and produce flax in Borg which in Borgarfjorour. I began my SCA journey in 2006 as part of Clan Dragondrauten where I helped run a large SCA household of over 30 members. After several years, the household divided in 2017. I became more active with the Glamfolk as a member of Master Sven RedBeard Einarsson’s Household. I wanted to learn more about history and become more involved in research and historical authenticity for my persona. I also wanted to have a more active role in the SCA. I have been volunteering at events doing gate duties, serving at feasts, helping wherever it is needed.

Service History Service: - Stunt retinue from 2014-2016 for Baroness Maricka Sigrunsdotter OL, when she was Baroness of Blatha an Oir. Serving behind the scenes, and as an attendant. - 2021-current Retinue for their Excellencies of Dragon's Laire - 2021- 10/8/2022 Barony of Dragon's Laire Arts and Sciences Champion - April 22 2022- present Court Coordinator for Their Excellencies of Dragon's Laire - July 2022-8/2023 Royal retinue for HM Achaxe - 2022 Event Steward Dragon's Laire Harvest Fest Other Service: - Decoration for the main hall for Sons of Candlemas. Barony Of Dragon's Laire April 2022 - Made decorations for the head table for the same event. April 2022 - June Faire. Barony of Dragon's Laire. 2022 - Assisted in the pre event land layout and the physical measuring of the site. - Demoed fiber arts in the Arts and Sciences Hall for 4 hours. Discussing and teaching the public about early period flax production. All hand sewn. Citharadoes clothing based on iconic images for Baron Arion the Wanderer OL,OP Chitan, Himatian, chalmys, bleats of linen braids and tablet weaving. Hand sewn. Assisted in the design and sewing of Baroness Maricka OL elevation and vigil apparel for 12th night 2020. Her vigil garb was early Anglo Saxon, and her elevation garb was based on 900s Birka extant finds. Made the outer robe for Shifu Wu Zhi's elevation to the Order of the Laurel Other Projects I have been creating male and female Viking age apparel for several years. Much of my work is 100 percent hand sewn. I use handmade woolen cloth and linen from Europe. Dragon's Laire banners I lead a collaborative group to make new hall decorations for Dragon's Laire My Encampment I recieved an award from Dragon's Laire for period encampment Dragon's Laire A&S Champion's Cloak Made by me when I became champion I also have been embroidering for over 20 years, tablet weave and am currently working on flax production from seed to cloth. This last project has been in process for 6 years and I am now at the spinning stage of my project.
