'Orrible 'Arold, the 'Erald of 'Artwood is, predictably, a resident of the shire of Hartwood. He's also known as Pappagunda.
Persona
Harold is an anglo saxon circa 1066, because this is the only historical date he can remember.
Interests
Long before even joining the SCA, Harold hosted archery on his property. Despite seeing roughly three targets for every one down the end of the range, he continues to be reasonably successful; he won Daffodil's prize tourney in 2016.
Upon gaining his AoA, Herald became interested in Heraldry. When the office had been vacant for some time, the rest of council voluntold him that he would be taking it on; they couldn't resist the alliterative charm of Harold being the Herald of Hartwood. His interest lies primarily in device design, and in the few months since taking on the office Hartwood has a number of devices in the approval process equal to approved devices previously.
Events
Harold's first event was Insula Magna's Newcomer's, held in July of 2013. When asked what she wanted for her birthday, Cunegonda of Hartwood asked for her parents to come to the event; they decided that the people they met there were terrific, and stayed.
At Investiture, Aug 2014, Harold was given his Award of Arms.
Companions
Harold is married to Marguerite Dubois. His daughter is Cunegonda van den Bossche, which is where 'Pappagunda' is derived from.
