Iron Ring chronicle of events

The Iron Ring was formed in 2004 and attended its first events beginning in 2005:

• The Gathering, May 2005.
• Gypsy Days, Seadog Nights, July 2005. The Iron Ring won the camp-to-camp Capture the Flag competition.

• Faire in the Grove, April 2007.
• The Gathering, May 2007. Lieutenant Cailin MacGregor was awarded the title Pirate King for hours of service to the site.

• Beaverton Farmer's Market Demo, September 2007. Members Idris ap Bran, José Cabrera de Castilla and Stavis Vladimir Kraskov fought in the heavy fighting demonstration.

2008

• Faire in the Grove, April 2008. Members Idris ap Bran, José Cabrera de Castilla, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Tristan MacGregor and Talieson Teagwas and recruit Colt fought in the heavy fighting demonstration, and the Iron Ring laid table for water bearing and refreshments for the fighters.
• Egil Skallagrimsson Memorial Tournament, May 2008. Members Idris ap Bran, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Talieson Teagwas, Balthazar Bechtold and recruit Colt participated in the Novice tourney, and Idris ap Bran took part in the Holmgang Tourney. Idris won the Novice tourney and Talieson took second place.
• The Gathering, May 2008. Lieutenant Cailin MacGregor passed on the mantle of the Pirate King at Nauti-Court.
• West/An Tir War, July 2008. Members Darius von Arenburg, Cailin MacGregor, Idris ap Bran, José Cabrera de Castilla, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Tristan MacGregor and Talieson Teagwas fought in the war under his excellency Edward Ian Anderson, and Iuliana de la Sara, Daesgasage Runne, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Lisette De La Rose and Helena Zancani bore water for the fighters of both armies.
• Trygvvy's War, July 2008. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Tristan MacGregor, Talieson Teagwas, Colt and Nagels fought in the war alongside Havoc war band members.
• Autumn War, August 2008. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, Cailin MacGregor, Iuliana de la Sara, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Balthazar Bechtold, Colt, Tristan MacGregor and Talieson Teagwas fought in the war, under the command of his excellency, Edward Ian Anderson along side the war band, Havoc and Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille and Helena Zancani bore water for the fighters of both armies.
• Acorn War, September 2008. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, José Cabrera de Castilla, Kodo Yoshio, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Balthazar Bechtold, Nagels, Tristan MacGregor, Talieson Teagwas, and Colt fought in the war, under the command of his excellency, Edward Ian Anderson along side the war band Havoc and Iuliana de la Sara, Lisette De La Rose and Helena Zancani bore water for the fighters of both armies. Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov was acting Marshal in charge for this event, Iuliana de la Sara played the rolls of Merchantcrat, Landocrat and List Mistress for this event and Lisette De La Rose was the head water bearer.
• Beaverton Farmer's Market Demo 2008, September 2008. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Tristan MacGregor, Colt, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov and Nagels fought in the heavy fighting demonstration. José Cabrera de Castilla and Iuliana de la Sara served as Marshall and List Mistress, Respectively for the demonstration. Lisette De La Rose bore water for the fighters.

2009

• Twelfth Night, January 2009. Members Lady Iuliana de la Sara, José Cabrera de Castilla, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lady Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Lisette De La Rose and Helena Zancani attended the masked ball and coronation court along with their friends and allies, Havoc. Lady Iuliana de la Sara received her award of Arms from King Vik and Queen Inga.
• Ringlet Corwin Farley is born, March 2009.
• Carnevale Di Venezia, April 2009. Members Lady Iuliana de la Sara, José Cabrera de Castilla, and Helena Zancani autocrated the masked ball, classes and hosted feast for the Shire of Dragon's Mist. Members Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Tristan MacGregor, Lady Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, and Lisette De La Rose we in attendance and provided much needed teachings and assistance to the autocrat team.
• Faire in the Grove, April 2009. Members Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, José Cabrera de Castilla, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Tristan MacGregor, Talieson Teagwas and Colt fought in the heavy fighting demonstration, and the Iron Ring laid table for water bearing, headed by Lisette De La Rose. Lady Iuliana de la Sara ran the lists for Knight marshal Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov and Lady Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille ran a lovely dance demonstration for the public.
• The Gathering, May 2009. Members Cailin MacGregor, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, José Cabrera de Castilla, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, and Talieson Teagwas fought in the Esclave De Winter Memorial Heavy Fighting Tournament. Iuliana de la Sara ran lists. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, Tristan MacGregor, Kodo Yoshio, Daesgasage Runne, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Lisette De La Rose Clothilde de Mundegumbrie, Nynadin Kraskov, Balthazar Bechtold, Helena Zancani, Nagels and Ian attended to support the unit. The Iron Ring was recognized at naughty court by the Autocrat team for service to the site and awarded a new lantern.
• Honey War, June 2009. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, Cailin MacGregor, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, José Cabrera de Castilla and Talieson Teagwas fought in the war, under the command of his excellency, Aleksii Konstantinovich Chernoi, Baron of Blatha an Oir. Lady Iuliana de la Sara and Helena Zancani bore water for the fighters of both armies.
• Dragon's Mist Defenders Tournament, June 2009. Members José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lisette De La Rose, Helena Zancani, Tristan MacGregor and Talieson Teagwas attended. Slaine' won the Arts and Sciences defendership, and Nicolai won the Heavy Combat defendership. Jose was awarded a Dragon's Scale for service to the Shire of Dragon's Mist.
• An Tir/West War, July 2009. Members José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lisette De La Rose, Kodo Yoshio, Daesgasage Runne, Helena Zancani, and Talieson Teagwas attended. We were happy to camp and fight alongside those friends of Havoc in defense of our fine kingdom against the influx of fighters from the West. We were honored to be requested to host our King Vik, fair Queen, Inga and His Excellency Steinn Tanist of Avacal at our kitchen for this event. We enjoyed their appreciation and fine company for dinner on Saturday and were personally thanked for our efforts, and awarded a game of kub and a handmade leather and wood book. As an unrelated incident, Jose, Nicolai, Lisette, Helena and Talieson received their Awards of Arms during their Majesties Royal Court of An Tir.
• SeaDog Nights, July 2009.
• July Coronation, July 2009. Members José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lisette De La Rose, and Helena Zancani, attended. Slaine' received a Jambe de Lion from their Majesties Vik and Inga during their Royal closing court.
• Autumn War, August 2009. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lisette De La Rose, Kodo Yoshio, Daesgasage Runne, Helena Zancani, and Talieson Teagwas attended. We were happy to camp and fight alongside those friends of Havoc and enjoyed for the first time being invited to a Virtue feast as guests of Earl Edward Ian Anderson where we got to listen to many poignant thoughts on chivalric virtues.
• Sport of Kings, August 2009. Members Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille and Lisette De La Rose attended. They both served the barony of Three Mountains selflessly, performing water bearing duties for the entire event most of the weekend. Yoshio was awarded his Award of Arms to be presented by the Barony of Three Mountains at a later time.
• September Crown Tournament XLIV/2009, September 2009. Members José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lisette De La Rose, Helena Zancani and Talieson Teagwas attended. Talieson and Nicolai valiantly fought in the crown tourney for Beven and Slaine' respectively. We were also excited to see our friends from Havoc, Mairghread inghean Dubhghaill and Eoghan ÓBriain recieved their Goutte de Sangs for their honorable service to kingdom and community.
• Acorn War, September 2009. Members Heinrich von Arenburg, José Cabrera de Castilla, Iuliana de la Sara, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lisette De La Rose, Kodo Yoshio, Daesgasage Runne, Helena Zancani, Colt and Talieson Teagwas attended. We were happy to camp and fight alongside those friends of Havoc. Talieson won the tourney at the end of the weekend, Kodo came in third. Dragon's Mist laid table for water bearing, headed by Lisette De La Rose.

• Ringlet Anya Davidson is born, December 30th, 2009.

2010

• Twelfth Night, January 2010. Members Lady Iuliana de la Sara, Lord José Cabrera de Castilla, Lord Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lady Slaine' inghean Ui Mhaille, Lady Lisette De La Rose and Lady Helena Zancani attended the masked ball and coronation court along with their friends and allies, Havoc. Anya received her first event token from from King and Queen Cedric II and Elizabeth II.
• Art of War II, April 2010. Members Lady Iuliana de la Sara, Lord José Cabrera de Castilla, Lord Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Stavis Vladimir Kraskov, HL Tristan MacGregor, Lord Talieson Teagwas and friends from Havoc bunked in a cabin and fought as a combined unit.
• May Crown, May 2010. Members Lady Iuliana de la Sara, Lord José Cabrera de Castilla, Lord Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov, Lady Helena Zancani, Lady Lisette De La Rose, Lord Talieson Teagwas and friends from Havoc attended to support our fair fighters, Lord Talieson Teagwas and Lord Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov in their quest to learn through combat in the squires tourney and Lord Nicolai Rabenis Von Tachov as he competed in the crown competition.
• Grand Thing V, May 2010. Wet and wild. The unit bade a temporary farewell to Talieson Teagwas, who was entering basic training for the Air Force.
• An Tir/West War, July 2010. The Iron Ring fought for Earl Edward Ian Anderson, part of the 5th brigade of An Tir. Queen Adwen Wrenn honored the unit with a Forget-Me-Not for making war mantles that allowed An Tir tabards to be worn and still have unit cohesion.
