Court Reports
Summits Winter Investiture, December 2009
Greetings unto the populace of the Summits!
Following is the report of the first court of Rustam and Suvia:
Their Highnesses called forth Brogan O'Bryant the Bull and Johanna Kjoppmanndtr who, upon successfully completing their reign as Prince and Princess of the Summits, were bestowed the title of Viscount and Viscountess.
Their Highnesses then accepted an oath of fealty from Their Excellencies Tadhg and Morrghan on behalf of themselves and the Barony of Adiantum.
Those who could not stay for the remainder of the event were invited to come and swear fealty to Their Highnesses.
Court was then suspended to allow for the Captain of Cats and Alpine Scholar competitions to take place.
When Court resumed:
Their Highnesses requested the presence of Viscount William Geoffrey the Rogue, who returned the Regalia of Captain of Cats to Them. The winner of the Captain of Cats tournament was declared to be Luciano Foscari, who was then invested as Captain of Cats, rapier champion of the Principality.
Their Highnesses called forth Sir Morgan the Truehearted, who returned the Grail of the Summits as his tenure of Cupbearer had come to a close. Their Highnesses thanked him for his service and indicated that They had chosen Sir Beringar von Rudesheim to serve as Cupbearer for Their reign. As he could not be in attendance, his lady, Viscountess Mathilda Haðabyr, took up the position temporarily.
Their Highnesses then received oaths of fealty from the Peers of the Summits, the Great Offices of the Principality, Their retinue and Their populace. This court coordinator took an oath of service to Their Highnesses as retinue.
His Lordship Tyrrell Figenbaum was released from his office as Marshal of the Principality with great thanks for his service. Her Ladyship Vesta Antonia Aurelia was called before Their Highnesses as his successor, and invested with the duties of that Great Office of State.
Their Highnesses requested the presence of Lady Telisia Brutusdottir and invested her with the duties of the office of Principality Chirurgeon.
Those for whom it was their first event were called before Their Highnesses and presented with a custom coin of Their reign. These coins were struck by Master Ian Cnulle in the style of 14th century Persia.
Lady Custanzia Deerhurst, Alpine Scholar, was summoned before Their Highnesses and returned the Regalia of the Arts and Sciences Champion to Them. Both competitors for the championship were called forth - His Lordship Brendan ap Llewelyn and Madame Cynthia du Pont. The quality and craftmanship of all the entries were praised, but in the end there can only be one champion and Madame Cynthia du Pont was declared Alpine Scholar. She was invested with the duties of the Arts and Sciences Champion.
There being no further business, thus concluded the first court of Rustam and Suvia, al-Amir and al-Amira al-Summits.
Long live King Cedric! Long live Queen Elizabeth! For Owain and Wrenn, Crown Prince and Crown Princess of An Tir, long life! Long live Prince Rustam! Long live Princess Suvia!
In joyful service to the Coronet, HL Elizabeth Turner de Carlisle Court Coordinator Protege to Master Finngall McKetterick

Personal Memories of the Reign
We almost didn't make it to our own Investiture. On Friday, there was a Winter Weather Advisory issued for the southern Willamette Valley. It took us four hours to drive from Salem to Eugene. We stopped for the night as the roads were closed south of Eugene. Alysaundre brought us our Investiture clothing, which Karis had coordinated. We left early on Saturday and got to site around noon. Badda bing badda boom, we were Prince and Princess. - Suvia -
