Summer Hunt thank yous
Once again Earnrokke’s Summer Hunt was a resounding success. As always this was due to the hard work of many of our people who put in their time and effort in the weeks before the event. Siobhan andCrios spent many hours putting together the wonderful prize baskets. Siobhan, Crios, Batik Silvestri n’ha Heruli, Wendelyn, Amelia and Donwenna painted the beautiful trophy glasses over a period of several weeks.
The amount of work it takes to transform horse pastures into camping, equestrian games, archery, thrown weapons and parking areas would have been overwhelming if not for all of the volunteers that put in the hard work to accomplish this task. For that we can thank Crios and Siobhan and their boys Marty and Stevie, Wendelyn and her daughters, THL Giraldus Evienece and all of his friends. And a special thanks to the members of the Towne of KeyPoynt: Batik Silvestri n'ha Heruli, Vedr Fawkner, Etole' Marchant, Derfal, Scolai McClure and Caemyl Glas who contributed their time and equipment to the task.
In Crios Sealgaire, we had a first time autocrat who truly rose to the challenge! He did a splendid job both before and during the event. Well done! Siobhan did a stellar job running gate coordinating the volunteers to make sure gate was covered in addition to putting in many hours herself.
We here in Earnrokke are grateful to our retiring champions for their service during the last year as our champions and for running the events that selected our new champions. They were for A&S and ArcheryBanu Shadra. For heavy weapons, Baron William of the Battered Helm and for equestrian, THL Khaidu. This Year we added a thrown weapons Championship Run by THL Phydeaux.
Our new champions are heavy weapons:: THL Hjimr inn Danski, Equestrian THL Thorkel Haraldson and Arts and Sciences: THL Samira, thrown Weapons: THL Michael Clarian ap Calle, Archery:
I would like to give a special thanks to Baron Hauyk, Baroness Rosemond and the people of the Barony of Aquaterra for their steady support of Summer Hunt. Also special thanks to Madame DuPont for coming so far to deliver a care package for my lady Donwenna who is on crusade inAfghanistan.
Thanks again to one and all who worked so hard to make Summer Hunt what it was for all who attended.

Greetings!
This weekend at the 5th annual Summer Hunt we were having some fun now!
everything was great until the lightning and thunder and rain came exactly when the potluck was served! The intrepid people of the Earnrokke and other fabulous gentles got it all covered over so we could finish eating.
Otherwise the weather was great.
we had nine riders and 23 foot hunters. we had three entrants in the arts and sciences competition and I think four heavy fighters. I don't know how many competed in the thrown weapons tournament but I understand that it was a very popular place to be and the prize was greatly enjoyed by the winner.
sunday we did the hunt challenges and I must say it was gratifing to have so many this year. When Donwenna and I created the persona challenge this is what we hoped for. it took a few years but it seems to have caught on now.
I personally wanted to thank my lovely people who helped me this weekend to acheive the three levels.
And yes, they are mine, I claim them I pee on them I do what needs to be done to make them my own!!!! So many thanks to my darling Leyla for the use of her horse and all her help in acheiving the mock hunt. Also to my page Ximena for all her help all day for the challenges. My darling Francesca was great support and was a comforting friend when Bee and I had a misunderstanding and my knee went out... again. (I unfortunately see an orthopedic surgeon in my future, I can't keep doing this!) I also want to thank my Tristan and Tae for helping me with a great many things throughout the day, I couldn't have done anything without them, they are such great friends! My dear Thorkel was a wonderful help during my challenges, he is chivalric on and off the field.
I wanted to thank my judges Mistress Tsuruko and HL Saikhan for the long hours they spent judging the entrants, they were gracious and fair and I couldn't have asked for better judges.
I wish more people could have come and watched all the challengers but it was hot and people and needed to get going. for all the people who did come and watch us, thank you so much for your interest!
I hope people will consider going out next year, it is a very rewarding experience.
Thanks to all who made the event possible, and thanks to my apprentice Samira who is the Hunt Guild administrator and reached the top level herself this year. I know Donwenna is proud of her, but as we told Donwenna La Mareschale on the computer, it wasn't really summer hunt without her.
Thanks to everyone for a great event.
regards,
Baroness Anastasia Alexandrovna Andreeva (OL) Principality of Tir Righ A&S Champion Barony of Aquaterra A&S Champion
From Angharat verch Reynulf Summer Hunt was indeed a lot of fun this year. Ty Kynith enjoyed watching the riders from our kitchen shade and about half of our group participated in the foot hunt.
There were indeed 4 heavy fighters in the tournament. Squires all, they fought well, showing courtesy on and off of the field, each a credit to their knights.
Even if I didn't get to ride, I at least got to play ground crew for a bit, feed people, and do lists and heraldry. I don't understand how I ended up with leftover brownies though. *grin*
Ty Kynith is already planning for next year's hunt, hopefully we'll be able to play with Donwenna on site again.
Hunt Guild of An Tir Report
Good Morning Hunters!
Summer Hunt is over for another year and oh what a time we had!!!!! We had it all; Horses, hounds, ferrets, hawks, cheetahs, sun & heat, wind and rain, thunder and lightening, weapons of mass destruction. .. but through it all we had a great time.
Before I announce the winners of the Hunt Guild Persona Challenge I'd like to take a moment and thank Agelos and the Shire of Earenrocke for putting on such a wonderful event and having us literally in their home. Every year they make us all feel very welcome and bend over backwards to give us a good hunt. They groom the hunt course and spend quite a few hours creating the props of the hunt (animal targets, hay bails, wood targets, a bush... anything we need.).
Also I'd like to thank our three Persona Challenge judges, Baroness Rosamund, Baroness Tsuruko and HL Saikhan, for their hours of judging on Saturday and Sunday. We appreciate your time to come out and do that.
And a personal thank you to Madam DuPont for not only driving the nine hours north to participate, but also for making a banner depicting the An Tir Hunt Guild and giving it away in a drawing (this banner is awesome!!) and for supporting each of the Persona Challenge candidates as well!!!! She and her friend (who's name escapes me this early before tea) made sure that they sat in on every one of the candidates, we the candidates appreciate that!!!!!!
