Farewell my dear niece, Emlyn Elizabeth TreSluggett or Annica van Heusden. I went from changing your diapers to standing in awe of your needle craft. No one in Sea Girt who bore a baby went without one of her crib quilts. I have awesome shoulder embroidery on my costumes thanks to her (See me at Clinton if you wish to see them). She lost her battle with cancer in January 2007, shortly before that of her grandfather and my dear old dad, Olaf Shieldwolf, in November 2008. Christopher Sigismund Olafsson

Thinking of Cathy a lot lately.

Annica was a huge contributor to the [[Seagirt Tapestry]]. She had done more panels than any other of the crew that I know of. Mundanely, she was involved in a lot of FRPG and could be seen of a evening with needle, floss and fabric in hand stitching away and only putting them down occassionally to roll some dice.

My first son was fortunate enough to get one of her quilted baby blankets.

I have a perfectly done blackwork chessboard that she traded for passage to a Clinton War sometime in late A.S. 20's.

If anything I wished she'd lived to see the Order of Laurel recognise the peerless quality of her needle work or the Order of the Pelican recognise the billions of stitches she'd use to serve Seagirt and An Tir.

Yes, and I still think of Cathy when I commit that horrible pun "ComesOutLoose" after someone says "Gesundheit". I heard it from her first.

Memories

Farewell my dear niece, Emlyn Elizabeth TreSluggett or Annica van Heusden.

I went from changing your diapers to standing in awe of your needle craft. No one in Sea Girt who bore a baby went without one of her crib quilts. I have awesome shoulder embroidery on my costumes thanks to her (See me at Clinton if you wish to see them). She lost her battle with cancer in January 2007, shortly before that of her grandfather and my dear old dad, Olaf Shieldwolf, in November 2008.

Thinking of Cathy a lot lately.

Annica was a huge contributor to the Seagirt Tapestry.
