Lady Carthann Bean Eachann...
I started playing in the SCA in A.S. 24 (1989) in what was then the Shire of Arn Hold (Boise, Idaho). Back then I was Carthann Mac Luinge of Inishmore (friends called me mac-and-cheese-linguini), but once I got married, I wanted to show my fidelity and loyalty to my husband, Eachann, so I now refer to myself as the wife of Eachann.
I've lived in Arn Hold, Silverkeep (Bozeman, MT), and Eir Dun (Butte, MT), and now reside in the College of Lyonsmarche, Kingdom of An Tir. After moving to An Tir in 1995, we took a long time off from playing in the SCA - got used to a new area, new jobs, and children soon followed! But now that our kids are 12 and 9, we feel like we're all ready to jump in and start playing again! Eachann is especially excited to get fighting again, and I look forward to serving the College as MoA&S and Chronicler.
One of these days I'll get some pictures scanned in from the old days and add them to this page - kind of weird to think that the SCA has been part of my life for 20 years! Even though we took a 13 or 14-year break, the SCA has always been important to us - it's the reason Eachann and I met in the first place, and why we have such great friends and memories, both from Artemesia and from An Tir!
In Service to the Dream,
Lady Carthann :)
