Subject: [antir-fighters] RE: [chivalry] An Tir- West war
Hail An Tir!
Well we've returned very much victorious from An Tir West War! This year will go down in history as the one of the greatest wars between our two lands!
I can not imagine anyone on the war field went home without enough fighting, partying or just as much fun as you can stand in 5 days! With only the exception of my very first An Tir West War this was the best I've seen in 16 years.
Not because we crushed the invading army but because every aspect of the weekend was grand! We had Duke Dirk of Caid and his war unit join the An Tirian forces and let me tell you they decimated anything and anyone who got in their path! Uther's spartans of the west faught for us and lived up the their Royal leaders boasts of their prowess! And all of the An Tir fighters banded together and marched in rank and rolled over their enemies like waves over the beaches!
There were very few lost tempers and the courtesy I saw on the field was exemplory! No one was trying to tear anyones head off with a pike and there where not so many blow calibration issues as I've seen in the past. And everyone seemed to be having a great time getting killed. With the exception of some Westy Dukes who got tired of being re-introduced to our archers over and over :)
Special thanks to Her Majesty's war unit! She had a great time showing off her skills as a heavy archer and leading her war unit into battle! Now she's showing off her bruises in public and people look at me like I'm a bad person :)
The courts were grand, a bit longer than we like so, we would like to appologise for that but hey! We had to recognise some very worthy folks for their efforts!
We've sent Their Majesties from the West home with some court enriching techniques that we hope will serve them well. Lots of yelling and screaming and doing the wave and such. I hope to see a photo of Thorfin standing on his throne in court back home!
Congratulations to all the tourney winners!
Unbelted Tourney Ieuan Gower Prince of Tir Righ
Belted Tourney Duke Dirk of Caid
And to Sir Brand from the West for receiving the honor of being given the War Cloak of An Tir for being the most feroucious, chivalric, most fun, honorable ass kicking killing machine at the war!
And to all of you who missed this wonderful event PTHTHTHTHTHTHTHHTTH!
We look forward to seeing you in two weeks at July Coronation!
Skegg out!
