:Other Relevant Rules:
:Standard Rapier Melee rules apply.
:DFB will be legal.
:Greater blow convention will *not* be in place for this event: Blows to the head, torso, or legals will be considered lethal. If you lose an arm, you may continue fighting with your other arm but you *may not switch*. This is to prevent issues with hand-protection on the field. This *does* mean that you can continue to fight with only a defensive secondary (checks are still legal!)

Cut and Thrust

Cut and Thrust Melee at Honor War! by Morganus Eternus

At the Illaþýttómálefnalegtnafn Monastery lies the famed treasure trove of Saint Phelan! While the war rages for control over the island, a separate battle must be had to secure these sacred artifacts!
We'll be running three CnT melee scenarios at honor war this year. In the first, we'll be playing armor as worn, with spears legal. For the second, spears will still be legal, but no armor-as-worn. For the last, no spears, no armor. Armor inspection will begin at 10AM on Sunday, and we'll run scenarios from 11-12.
The exact format of the scenarios will depend on how many folks we have. If you can, please bring a 3 person team, but if you can't, please come anyway!
What to bring: standard CnT kit, plus spears or armor if you have them/want to use them. Folks with extra gear, please bring it! With luck, we can get some more folks on the field.
We'll also be running CnT authorizations on an ad hoc basis on Saturday, so if you're not authed yet that won't necessarily be prohibative.

Rules for Spears:

Spears are legal, but at this point are *thrust only*
DfB will be legal, but not with spears.
Spear auths for CnT aren't available in An Tir yet--we're allowing folks to bring spear if either A.) They are a member of the An Tir Rapier Spear Experiment or B.) They have an out of kingdom authorization in spear.
Other Relevant Rules:
Standard Rapier Melee rules apply.
DFB will be legal.
Greater blow convention will *not* be in place for this event: Blows to the head, torso, or legals will be considered lethal. If you lose an arm, you may continue fighting with your other arm but you *may not switch*. This is to prevent issues with hand-protection on the field. This *does* mean that you can continue to fight with only a defensive secondary (checks are still legal!)

Cooking Competition

Good people of An Tir and lands beyond! by Elena Castillo de Hispaña I am happy to invite all of you to attend Honor War held on April 11th - 13th at Chief Timothy Park in Clarkston, Washington. We will be hosting an EPIC cooking competition. The populace will vote on the top three winners, who will receive wonderful prizes. A huge kitchen will be provided at the site overlooking the great war for the lentils. Between 12 pm and 4 pm. The kitchen will include grills (charcoal, gas, and flat top), camp stoves, two large dutch oven charcoal cooking tables, a pantry of ingredients, and spices from all over the known world. The only thing the contestants need to bring is their cookware and display wear for their entries. The true test of your skills will reside in how well you use and showcase the "Mystery Ingredients" given to you at noon on Saturday. If you are interested in competing, please contact Ellena Castillo de Hispania, at 509-308-7928 or blackorchidwhip@gmail.com. We want to ensure that we have enough "Mystery Ingredient kits" for all who wish to participate.
