May Crown - the crown event where snow burned.
May Crown was held in Walla Walla and Friday night cottonwood fluff that had dropping from the trees caught fire and quickly spread throughout the camp. No one was injured by the fire, but one participant was taken to the emergency room with wounds from fighting the fire.

Although normally a coronation event, the failed May Crown led to a compressed tourney and coronation north of Madrone. Manfred Kriegstreiber won the crown for Morwyn of Wye.
The Shire of Blatha an Oir was elevated to Barony status at Coronation. Micheil MacGhillebrath of Dunmaglas and Rowan O'Ceallachain of Muscraidhe were created Baron and Baroness by Their Majesties Ulfred and Adara.
