Court of Her Royal Majesty Miranda, Queen of An Tir Warren War August 25, 2007 being AS XLII Shire of Shittimwoode
Being the Report of the Court of Her Royal Majesty Miranda, Queen of An Tir. Court held on August 25, 2007 being AS XLII at Warren War, in the Shire of Shittimwoode.
Invited into Her Court were Her Highness Caiomhinn, Princess of Tir Righ, Their Excellencies Harold Devin of Waltham and Aurora Argentius, Baron and Baroness of Lions Gate, and Their Excellencies Wyll Hauk and Rosamund of the Misty Meadows, Baron and Baroness of Aquaterra.
Her Royal Majesty spoke to the populace, saying She was quite pleased to be there, having been to Shittimwoode before and always enjoyed it. The people are warm, pleasant and welcoming whether you were wearing a hat or not. Her Royal Majesty said She’d never been to Warren War before, was looking forward to the activities and thanked the Shire and its populace for their hospitality.
Her Royal Majesty welcomed Owain ap Llewellyn (Aquaterra) into the Order of the Goutte de Sang.
The event autocrats, HL Hjlmr inn Danski and Lady Rebekah inghen Giric, made a presentation on behalf of the Shire of Shittimwoode. Gifts were given to Her Royal Majesty, to Her Highness, to Their Excellencies of Lions Gate, and to Their Excellencies of Aquaterra. Her Royal Majesty thanked the Shire for its generosity.
Her Royal Majesty called forth every person for whom this was their first event, and did leave Her Throne to greet them warmly. Queen Miranda said She was borrowing a tradition from a Prince of another land, who gave a remembrance to newcomers, that they might remember well their first event, and the Crown who gave it to them. So saying, Her Royal Majesty gave the newcomers coins of the realm which had been struck on the coronation date of Their Royal Majesties, and thanked the newcomers for taking part in our fabulous organization.
Within Her Royal Majesty’s Court, Her Highness Caoimhinn, Princess of Tir Righ, did welcome His Excellency Harold Devin of Waltham (Lions Gate) into the Order of the Silver Pillar.
Her Royal Majesty welcomed HL Hjlmr inn Dannski (Shittimwoode) into the Order of the Goutte de Sang.
Bjorn of Shittimwoode (Shittimwoode) was awarded Arms by Her Royal Majesty.
Queen Miranda did award Arms to Fuleynn the Eunuch (Shittimwoode).
Rhion d’Nihil al Khabeelah was awarded Arms by Her Royal Majesty.
Her Highness Caoimhinn, Princess of Tir Righ, did ask HL Cyneric Bearson and HL Arianna Freemont to come forth. She thanked them for their efforts on behalf of the Tir Righ travel fund, having raised $1,300 at auction at Clinton War. The Principality Exchequer, HL Elena de Maisnilwarin, was present and with Her Highness’ permission did advise those gathered that HL Arianna’s fundraising efforts to date are approximately $3,000.
Queen Miranda invited all to attend September Crown as Their Royal Majesties seek Their long-lost Heirs. Her Royal Majesty also spoke of Kingdom Bardic, where the King bids fighters to come and attend the King’s Fight Practice, and of Twelfth Night in the Barony of Lions Gate.
Her Highness Caoimhinn welcomed Soleil (Lions Gate) into the Order of the Glowing Ember.
Her Royal Majesty awarded Arms to Mericke nis Ross MacMoran.
HL Robin of Windspur and company did present gifts to Her Royal Majesty, and gave flowers to Princess Caoimhinn, Baroness Aurora and Baroness Rosamund. HL Robin spoke of the Peasants’ Revolt – they don’t want Point Roberts anymore. His Excellency Harold Devin asked if last year the peasants also revolted and did it include a beer. Upon being advised that was the case, His Excellency asked would this year include a beer opener. Her Royal Majesty noted that the Peasants’ Revolt notice indicated that the peasants weren’t actually revolting last year, they were simply clearing their field of stones. Queen Miranda also noted that the peasants didn’t ransom back the Baron of Aquaterra, instead they were simply recouping the costs of food and shelter while he was enjoying their hospitality.
Herald Quentin’s summary: We have trouble, trouble right here with Point Roberts. Trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for Point Roberts.
Aloya Menher of the House Dagon was awarded Arms by Queen Miranda.
His Excellency Harold Devin of Waltham, Baron of Lions Gate did then speak. One year ago this land was decided over A&S and fighting, beer and no bottle opener. He had come back in hopes of a bottle opener because it wasn’t a twist off. His Excellency Wyll Hauk, Baron of Aquaterra also did speak, addressing the Baron of Lions Gate. My friend, you know what this is about. Your predecessor tried to convince them that Point Roberts belonged to me, while I tried to convince them that Point Roberts belonged to them. I say it firmly: it belongs to you. There was much discussion of lands, beer and bottle openers, and the possibility of gifting the lands to another Barony, until Her Royal Majesty reminded the Barons that the lands were in fact Hers. Queen Miranda said She will take Point Roberts and go to the Barony of Stromgard where She is from, with a message that they are responsible for it.
The Baron of Lions Gate did mark a line on the ground, which the Baron of Aquaterra did most decidedly cross. So it was War – on the battlefield, in the A&S, in the Bardic circle, plus half a case of beer and a bottle opener.
Herald Quentin’s recap: War declared and accepted. Beer on the hoof. Lands of Shittimwoode given to a far off land yet again. They won’t know what hit them.
Their Excellencies Wyll Hauk and Rosamunde of the Misty Meadows, Baron and Baroness of Aquaterra did call forth Lord Timo Schuzzilwanst and Lady Amy ferch Rychard. Their Excellencies noted that these gentles are leaving their lands, and asked Lord Timo and Lady Amy if they would be willing to be ambassadors for Aquaterra. Having accepted, Their Excellencies provided them with a letter of recommendation to the Baron of Smoking Rocks in the Kingdom of the East, a baronial banner and a vial of the earth of Aquaterra.
Her Royal Majesty noted that Princess Caoimhinn did receive a Jambe de Lion from Their hands as the only order of business of Their Royal Majesties’ Court at Pennsic.
Their Excellencies Harold Devin of Waltham and Aurora Argentius, Baron and Baroness of Lions Gate did present gifts to Her Royal Majesty and to Her Highness. Their Excellencies did then kneel and swear fealty to the Crown.
The Baron of Lions Gate was gifted with a bottle opener, given to him by the Herald who noted that the peasants had found something.
Their Excellencies Wyll Hauk and Rosamund of the Misty Meadows, Baron and Baroness of Aquaterra did present gifts to Her Royal Majesty and to Her Highness. Their Excellencies did then kneel and swear fealty to the Crown.
Thus ended the Court of Her Royal Majesty Miranda, Queen of An Tir.
