Adrianne von Brandenburg
Introduction
Adrianne (A-Dree-An) has been a member of the Society since 1996. She joined when she was still in high school shortly after her barony was established, and immediately began her volunteer journey within the Society. She started out helping with event set-up and tear down and then by 16 was running kitchens, gates, and doing pre-registration for various events. Adrianne volunteered to help so often that she gained a reputation of dependability and was approved as event steward of her first event, the barony’s largest event of the year, Bar gemels in 2001, just after her 18th birthday. Adrianne's service to Terra Pomaria was recognized through admittance into the Order of the White Scroll in 2006; the Barony’s service order; which is awarded for consistent and extraordinary service to the Barony, above and beyond the call of sanity.
Adrianne has served on a number of committees, acting as an editor for updates to the Baronial Financial Policy, Baronial Laws, Principality Financial Policy, and the Principality Customary. Also, while serving as Principality Exchequer, Adrianne uncovered financial malfeasance in a branch and worked hand in hand with the Principality Seneschal to document the financial fraud and cooperate with the police investigation discreetly but appropriately. Following the investigation Adrianne established an updated financial process for the impacted branch and trained the seneschal and new exchequer on the correct processes that eliminated the opportunity that was previously exploited. Adrianne also developed an original iteration of the envelope method for tracking and securing gate cash during events. This method has been expanded on in the time since and is now used kingdom wide to prevent financial fraud.
After stepping back into the Society after a short break, Adrianne of has jumped back into service and with devotion to the royal persona of the kingdom. Adrianne as a reign scribe and head of principality retinue, member of the Terra Pomaria Financial Committee, Terra Pomaria Librarian, and Principality Scribe. Most notably, Adrianne saw an opportunity as reign scribe to build a community and gathered 43 scribes across five kingdoms to create the first Summit’s Scriptorium and bring art from across the known world into the Principality of the Summits.
