This was the one and so far only time that a Crown Tournament and an Egil's Tournament were ever held on the same weekend (hence its popular name "Cregil's").  The mood of the event was thus oddly bifurcated (serious side/ silly side!).  The Crown Tournament was Saturday; the Egil's Tournament was Sunday.  By the accounts of all staff involved, it was a logistical nightmare to put on, which is probably why the experiment was never repeated.

Event Highlights

This was the one and so far only time that a Crown Tournament and an Egil's Tournament were ever held on the same weekend (hence its popular name "Cregil's"). The mood of the event was thus oddly bifurcated (serious side/ silly side!). The Crown Tournament was Saturday; the Egil's Tournament was Sunday. By the accounts of all staff involved, it was a logistical nightmare to put on, which is probably why the experiment was never repeated.

(Stuff that happened in Court, or who won the contests, or that happened to all or most people on site e.g. a windstorm, or banquet details. Include links to other pages as appropriate.)
