SCA History

  • My first event was Machievelli Memorial Feast IV, the first MM held on the Island. March 11, 1989... but I had come out and met many Seagirtians at every UVic clubs day from 1984 until then.
  • I remember Iain Ruadh nan Madadh (now Don Iain Archibald Guthrie), setting himself on fire by backing in to a candle at a Seagirt Secret Tourney (at Camp Jubilee, Shirley, BC) and claiming the title "Hottest Man in Seagirt".
