Korwyn Marius Velis Ariannaid
Baron Korwyn Maruis Velis Ariannaid, OP, MSCA currently resides in the Province of the Mists, Principality of the Mists, Kingdom of the West. He started his SCA experience in an unformed group in northern Ansteorra (then a Principality of Atenveldt), and became the founding Seneschal of what is now the Barony of Namron. Baron Korwyn then became instrumental in the transition from Principality to Kingdom, assisting in the codification of the first set of Kingdom Laws for the Kingdom of Ansteorra. He then served the Crown of Ansteorra as King's Herald for many years.
Baron Korwyn has experienced life in many Kingdoms of the Known World, including Calontir, the East, Trimaris, Caid, and, of course, An Tir.
Baron Korwyn served as Black Lion Principal Herald in An Tir. He also encouraged the formation of Principalities within the Kingdom, and served as first Defender of the Summits.
Baron Korwyn still spends a great deal of his time teaching fighters, and has several students and three "active" squires, two in Caid and one in Atenveldt. He has had two student/squires become peers; Sveyn LawGiver, who became a Master of the Pelican and resides in the Principality of the Summits, and Sir Rustam, who resides in central An Tir.
