In Case of Peerage a.k.a. In Case of Elevation is a document that it is recommended to make (and update) in case you receive a peerage level award. The idea is to make you think ahead about how you might like things for your elevation ceremony, and to relieve potential stress when you might be a little too awestruck to coherently think about it.
It is of course just a suggestion, although I've heard some peers do encourage their students/proteges/squires/cadets etc. to have one handy. Ideally, it should be in a publicly accessible place so that the crown and friends can see it when planning to offer a peerage award, but it could also be privately kept and just referred to or released once an award is in the offing.
