Every action that we do, sews the seeds for a fruitful future. As we grow and experience the world we pave the way for others and eventually let others pass us with more growth and understanding. I believe that as leaders and members of any organization we must know when to lead from the front as a guide, and when to lead from behind, allowing others to discover their own paths with support.
Started in the SCA, at July Coronation 2004.
Goals:
Run an event on “How to be an Event Steward,” Kingdom Collegium
Replicate extant pieces of Wire Woven Brocade from Birka
Teach classes on basic weaving, constructing weaving patterns, and Bayeux tapestry stitches
Improve fighting skills to the level of knighthood and beyond.
Serve as Kingdom Seneschal

- Maintain a level of support and guidance focusing on the needs of the branch.
- Honor and recognized the deeds of DM’s members. Many individuals obtaining baronial level awards as well as kingdom grants and peerages.
- Hold courts, plan and orchestrate ceremonies pertaining to recognition of service, event activities and public engagement.
- Foster the arts throughout the branch, be it fighting, bardic, or classes.
- Maintain a high level of communication between members, as a mediator for conflict resolution, public engagement, maintain social media relations, and engage newcomers on a regular basis.
- Actively maintain and manage communication in the form of reporting in regards to the health and activities within and around the barony.
- Develop programs for membership retention and foster continued education for the barony in the form of a Seargentry Program, incorporating new and seasoned members with outreach to mentors/ peers in the society.
- Ambassador for the barony by supporting other local groups in attending events, attending kingdom events, and work to establish a positive image of the Barony.
- Visited 24 different SCA Groups From Tir Righ to Caid not including Dragon’s Mist. (See Appendix.)
Contributions:
- Changed and updated Baronial awards. Six submitted and three have officially been registered with the College of Heralds.
- Acquired travel thrones through donation to the barony. (2015) $700 value
- Donated assorted items of largess to the barony.
